Cheerleading: Pop Warner cheerleaders set for Hawaii
FULLERTON - Two Costa Mesa Pop Warner Football cheerleading teams
each placed second at a local competition at Fullerton High and have
qualified for the Regional Finals in Hawaii.
The Jr. PeeWee squad accumulated 266 points and are coached by
Marianne Clever and Cheryl Wright. They are Karli Bauermeister, Ariell
Benter, Azia Celestino, Rosie Clever, Violet Gross, Carly McBride, Sarah
Ohlhaver, Rachel Rogers, Olivia Scheidt, Elizabeth Schifano, Crystalin
Simrak, Jessica Swantusch, Jordan Wager and Courtney Wright.
The PeeWee crew of Emily Carr, Shea Kopp, Lizzie Ohlhaver, Maria
Federiconi, Alexandra Foreman, Katie Hartwell, Kiele Brown, Sydney
Barloon, Violet Marquez, Kaitlin Crom, Veronica Rhodes and Michelle Crane
also came in second place in their division with 260 points. They are
coached by Yvonne Carr and Connie Kopp.
The Regional Finals in Hawaii will be held Dec. 10 and the teams are
responsible to fundraise for their travel expenses. It will cost each
cheerleader approximately $700 and any donations would be very much
appreciated.
