COSTA MESA

Fuschia Street: Thieves broke into a black Honda Accord parked in the

3400 block early Sunday morning. They made off with a CD player, a pair

of subwoofers and a CD collection worth $600. They carted away the loot

in what a witness said appeared to be a very sensible Volvo.

Pinecreek Drive: Someone stole a custom wheelchair worth almost $3,000

on Nov. 3 from a staircase at a 2800 block parking structure, where it

had been locked. The thief also damaged the lock of a motorcycle that had

been parked nearby, but didn’t manage to get the bike.

Andrews Road: Police responded to a report of illegal peddling in the

200 block at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Fernleaf Avenue: Police responded to reports of petty theft at a home

in the 300 block at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Marguerite Avenue: A car was stolen in the 1600 block shortly before

6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
