Girls field hockey: Harbor gets the shutout, again

STUDIO CITY - The Newport Harbor girls field hockey team remained
undefeated in Sunset League play and earned its ninth shutout of the
season with a 1-0 victory at Harvard-Westlake, Thursday.
With 11:45 remaining in the first half, Harbor junior Allison McKenzie
scored the goal that would win the game.
“She had a real nice spin move before putting in the goal,” Sailors’
Coach Sharon Wolfe said.
Wolfe also said she moved McKenzie to a new position for the match.
“That added to her confidence. It didn’t take her long to get a goal,”
Wolfe said.
With the win, the Tars improved to 7-0 in league and 9-0-1 overall.
The Harbor junior varsity remained undefeated with a 3-0 win at Studio
City Recreational Center. The JV is 7-0 in league and 10-0 overall.
