SCHOOL LUNCH MENUS
The Newport-Mesa Unified School District offers three menu choices
each day at elementary schools. Students may choose a vegetarian entree
if desired. The selection varies and may be either a salad, sandwich or
hot entree. Here’s what’s being served this week:
TODAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or chicken patty on a bun, baby carrots with
low-fat dip, choice of fruit, choice of milk
WEDNESDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or all-beef hot dog on a bun, choice of fruit,
choice of milk, frozen 100% fruit juice bar
THURSDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or health sandwich on a whole wheat bun or
hamburger on a bun with shredded lettuce and pickles, oven-baked potatoes
with ketchup, choice of fruit, choice of milk
FRIDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or “Brunch for Lunch” -- cinnamon-swirl French
toast with maple syrup and sausage patties -- choice of fruit and 100%
fruit juice, choice of milk
MONDAY
Munchable Lunch Salad or cheeseburger on a bun with lettuce and
pickles, choice of fruit or 100% fruit juice, choice of milk
* The Munchable Lunch Salad contains tossed greens, cherry tomatoes,
crackers and protein sources such as cheese, sunflower seeds, fruit
yogurt, honey-roasted peanuts and dressing.
Elementary school lunches are $1.75 each. The district does not accept
checks for less than $17.50.
