Here’s a sneak peak at a few of the players who will have an impact

for Ocean View High during the 2000 season, with a comment on each from

Coach Harold Eggers:

JASON KETCHAM, DE, 6-1, 190, Sr: “A real strong, versatile guy. Has

been a utility player.”

PHILLIP SMITH, WR/LB, 6-3, 180, Sr.: “Our main receiver. We’ll try to

get the ball to him as much as possible. Really being looked at by a lot

of schools.”

ERIK FALESSI, RB/LB, 5-10, 180, Sr.: “One of our most aggressive kids.

Quick, strong, and plays with a lot of heart. One of our leaders.”

PATRICK CAMPBELL, QB/FS, 5-10, 165, Jr.: “A real good arm, a quiet

leader, a great athlete. We’re expecting things from him.”

RAMON MURILLO, DG/NT, 6-3, 320, Sr.: “Strongest kid on our team. Very

mobile, and has some of the quickest feet on a lineman that I’ve ever

coached.”

STUART LEVU, OB/LB, 5-11, 270, Sr.: “Another team leader. A strong,

aggressive player who moves well for a big guy.”

RYAN COOKE, C/DE, 6-2, 220, Sr.: “A quite, hard-working kid. A two-way

starter who will play a key role at center.”

ALEX BALDERAS, RB/DB, 5-9, 160, Sr.: “It’s nice to have a player like

him. He’ll handle many things for us, especially with our kicking game

and in the secondary.”

JASON RHOADS, RB/SS, 5-10, 175, Sr.: “A three-year starter whose main

contribution will come on offense. Has natural instinct and always seems

to get the job done.”
