September is National Cholesterol Month and Costa Mesa-based Talbert

Medical Group is offering educational materials about cholesterol.

According to the American Medical Assn., an estimated one out of two

American adults have high cholesterol. All adults 20 years and older

should have their cholesterol checked at least once every five years.

Those with a family history of high cholesterol, men over 45 and women

over 55 should have their levels checked more frequently.

The consequences of high cholesterol include heart disease, artery

disease, high blood pressure and fatigue.

Talbert Medical Group is an independent, physician-owned and operated

medical group.

Mesa or call (714) 436-4455.
