Orange Coast Middle College High School’s Back-to-School Night will be
held today at 7 p.m.
The event will take place in Science Lecture Hall 101 at OCC, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa.
Orange Coast Middle College High School principal Joe Fox will welcome
guests, introduce officials from Newport-Mesa and OCC and establish the
expectations of teachers and administration.
The 5-year-old high school is a collaboration between the Newport-Mesa
Unified School District and OCC. It serves Newport-Mesa juniors and
seniors who wish to complete high school in a college atmosphere.
Students in the program concurrently enroll in high school and college
classes.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for a student who is interested in being
in a small school on a college campus, taking college classes as well as
high school classes,” said Fox.
Anyone who is interested in learning more about the program is welcome
to attend the event.
There are currently 112 students in the program. There is a waiting
list for the 2001 spring and fall semesters.
