Air Force Airman Paul B. Evans graduated from basic military training

at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Evans is the son of

Class Gregory S. Osborne has returned from a six-month deployment to the

Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Gulf while assigned to the amphibious

assault ship USS Bataan, home-ported in Norfolk Virginia. Osborne is the

Orr of Fountain Valley graduated from Radford University. Orr, the

daughter of Jim Orr, received a bachelor’s degree in speech ...

Huntington Beach resident Pamela D. DeGuro made the honor roll before

graduating with her juris doctorate from Western State University College

of Law. DeGuro also won the school’s trustees scholarship ... Midshipman

3rd class Shannon Britt of Huntington Beach successfully completed her

first year at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. Britt also made

the commandant’s list for the fall semester and was appointed 4th class

graduate Lance T. Uradomo of Huntington Beach received his medical

doctorate and master’s degree in public heath from George Washington

University, Washington, D.C. He is the son of Huntington Beach resident

Ada K. Uradomo ... Six high school student leaders from Fountain Valley

were selected to participate in the knowledge and social responsibility

program at UC Irvine. The students selected were Jamal Dauda, Chris Kim,

Anne Nguyen, Karin Shieh and Victor Wadsley. The students, who come from

Fountain Valley High School, will be among the 58 students selected from

more than 200 applicants throughout Orange County ... Big Brothers/Big

Sisters of Orange County announced that Huntington Beach residents

Michael Thom and Korina Petrozzi as two of its recipients for the big

brother of the year and the California state big sister of the year

awards, respectively ... Nathan S. Arnold was promoted in the Air Force

to the rank of senior airman. Arnold, a driver and operator, is assigned

to the 311th air base group at Brooks Air Force base in San Antonio,

Texas. He is the son of Thomas E. and Marailee P. Arnold of Huntington

Beach.
