Bluejays take ninth
The South County Bluejays, a 10-and-under travel baseball team
comprised of several local Little League players, finished ninth at last
weekend’s National Invitational Tournament held in Cooperstown, N.Y.
A total of 48 teams competed for the 10-and-under title. The Bluejays
posted a 6-3 record.
Three players from Ocean View Little League, MJ Forsberg, James Miller,
and Randy Guite, each a 9-10 Division All-Star player from the league,
played key roles in South County’s rise to a Top-10 finish.
The Bluejays 11-and-Under travel baseball team is currently recruiting

Surf city 5K on tap
Runners are invited to compete Tuesday in the annual tommy’s surf
city 5K run.
Huntington Beach has been designated as only one of 13 cities nationwide
to be a part of the second tommy’s american running series, a July 4
celebration featuring adult and children’s road races. Proceeds from each
race benefits the Race to Erase Multiple Sclerosis.
