CMNLL Majors: Marlins edge Dodgers
COSTA MESA - Key hits by Ryan Bagwell propelled the Marlins to a
5-3 win over the Dodgers in Costa Mesa National League Majors Division
action last weekend.
Bagwell had two hits and three RBIs to lead the Marlins, while Eric
Seagondollar and Mike Wolfe each had key RBIs.
Victor and Vinnie Valdez each chipped in with two hits for the Marlins.
On the mound, Bagwell and Victor Valdez combined to allow only two hits,
while striking out 12.
In other Majors Division action:
CMNLL Marlins 10, CMALL White Sox 0 - In Interleague play, Vinnie Valdez
clubbed a grand slam and a double to key the Marlins to a win over the
White Sox.
P.J. Errington added a three-run home run and drove in five to add to the
Marlins’ attack.
Errington and Vinnie Valdez combined to throw a shutout with four
strikeouts for the Fighting Fish.
