Host families are needed for 25 German exchange students who will arrive

next month to learn about American culture.

The students, between the ages of 14 and 18, will need meals, a

comfortable bed and transportation to school. The exchange program runs

from July 27 through Aug. 24.

Students will attend school four mornings each week and will fill their

afternoons with excursions to local attractions.

Their visit also includes a four-day trip to San Francisco.

But three full weekends are available for students to spend time with

their host families. This lends an opportunity for families to teach

American traditions and also learn about another culture.

Married couples and single-parent families are encouraged to participate.

The program, sponsored by International Education and Exchange, also

needs one teacher and student sport enthusiasts.
