Women’s basketball: Wilde to move on to Cal Poly SLO

Wilde will continue her basketball career at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

University, according to Pirates Coach Mike Thornton.

Wilde, who was also considering San Jose State, Cal State Dominguez Hills

and Cal State Bakersfield, told Thornton she based her decision on the

educational opportunity, as well as the chance for early playing time.

Wilde averaged 11.9 points and 5.8 rebounds for Coast in conference play

this season and sparked the Pirates with a season-high 23 points in their

second-round playoff win over Bakersfield on Feb. 29.
