A’s topple Angels, 7-5

Brian Wiktorski pitched a complete game victory Saturday and also

drove in a run as the A’s got past the Angels, 7-5, in Huntington Valley

Little League Majors Division play at Inspiration Field.

While Wiktorski finished with an RBI single, it was Jordan Marquette who

paced the A’s offensive attack by going 3 for 4 with a double and two

RBI.

Shayne Robinson also went 3 for 4 with a double and Andy Leeser finished

with two hits for the A’s.

Frankie Mead went 3 for 4, and Ricky Pineda, Damion Loukas, and Mitchel

Queen each had two hits for the Halos.

In other games:

Diamondbacks 4, Mariners 0

Cody Steiner went 2 for 3 with two RBI, Ryan Van Herk and Aaron Matillo

each had an RBI single, and Adam Sciarillo had two hits for the

Diamondbacks; Lucas Aumiller doubled to lead the Mariners’ attack.

White Sox 10, Ranges 5

Shawn Eley went 2 for 4 with a double and, along with John Pollock,

Trevor Rock, Hunter White, and Shane Rooney, had an RBI hit during an

eight-run fourth inning outburst by the White Sox; Robbie Adolph and Max

Hirsch each went 2 for 3, David Mendoza doubled, and Matt Bottorff had an

RBI single for the Rangers.

Angels 12, White Sox 5

Mitchel Queen went 3 for 4 with a double, Ricky Pineda doubled and

singled, and Frankie Mead and Joe Byers each had two hits for the Angels;

Shawn Eley had two hits to lead the White Sox.

Mariners 4, A’s 3

Lucas Aumiller went 3 for 4 with a double, Austin Ray went 2 for 3 with a

double, and Chad Heberden had three hits to lead the Mariners in the nine

inning affair; Brandon Kinney’s RBI sacrifice tied the score for the A’s

in the bottom of the sixth innings. Jordan Marquette had an RBI single

and Curtis Crandell also collected an RBI for the A’s.

Rangers 14, Diamondbacks 4

Aaron Matillo pitched a complete game victory and went 2 for 3 on

offense, David Mendoza went 3 for 3, Adam Sciarillo went 2 for 2, and

Michael Wellwood, Sean Tierney, and Robby Adolph each had RBI singles for

the Rangers; Derek Demun doubled and singled to lead the Diamondbacks.
