What do you think about IKEA coming to town?

“We live kitty corner to South Coast Plaza and it’s fine with me. I

never object to buildings or businesses. I can’t imagine they’d bother

anyone that much.”

2. “Why do we need it? I wouldn’t use it. It would benefit the city

because of sales tax and all that good stuff. But I don’t know anything

about IKEA. It’s going to create a lot of competition for Wick’s

Furniture. My wife will probably love it.”

3. “I think it’s great. It’s a good idea. Costa Mesa is growing in a

good way. It’s a good chance for a lot of people to get jobs.”

4. “I don’t object to it. I might shop there. I live around there but

I don’t anticipate too much traffic.”

area. It will probably add more traffic. The surrounding infrastructure

should be reinforced to support the anticipated traffic.”
