Boys golf: Mesa handles Estancia

COSTA MESA - Jeff Montoya shot a one-under 34 at Costa Mesa Golf

Course’s Mesa Linda course to lead Costa Mesa High’s golf team to a

190-199 Pacific Coast League win over Estancia Tuesday afternoon.

Jason Cassity was the top scorer for the Eagles (0-1 in league), matching

Montoya’s score of 34.

For the Mustangs (5-1, 1-0), Joakim Rising (36), Lou Carrasco (37), Bryce

Sharidan (38) and Nue Kahele (45) round out the scoring.

For Estancia, Aaron Rankel (39), Nick Razo (40), Greg Rausch (41) and

Joey Mueller (47) complete the Eagles’ scoring.

The Mustangs will host University at Mesa Linda Thursday at 2 p.m.
