Baseball: Lions swept by Point Loma Nazarene
SAN DIEGO - Vanguard University’s baseball team saw too much Point
Loma Nazarene as the Crusaders swept a Saturday doubleheader, 7-3 and
10-0.
In game one, James Dent had two hits, including a home run, a run scored
and an RBI for the Lions, while Adam Steckler and Shane Lariba each added
an RBI.
PLNU’s Chad Leitzke threw five shutout innings with six strikeouts in the
seven-inning nightcap. Dent, Lariba and Kevin Candelaria had the lone
hits for Vanguard University (2-10, 1-7 in conference).
