Men’s tennis: Vanguard sweeps Westmont

SANTA BARBARA - It was a clean sweep for the Vanguard University
men’s tennis team in Saturday’s 9-0 Golden State Athletic Conference win
over host Westmont.
Olli Helminen and Stefan Johansson each won, 6-2, 6-2, in singles’ play
before teaming up for an 8-2 doubles’ victory.
As a team, the Lions (7-0, 4-0 in conference) won 15 of 16 sets played.
Vanguard will take on United States International University today at 2
p.m. in a nonleague matchup.
