Women’s basketball: Vanguard stomps on Biola

LA MIRADA - Five players had double-digit scoring for the Vanguard

University women’s basketball team in Saturday’s 93-59 Golden State

Athletic Conference win over host Biola University.

Kelly Boeke led the Lions (24-5, 13-3 in conference) with 23 points and

10 rebounds, while Becki Huddle and Laura Lee each chipped in with 15

points.

The Lions doubled up the Eagles, 48-24, in the first half and never

looked back.

Marisa Emde and Rachel Fikse each had 10 points for Vanguard.

Shari Andreasen led the Eagles with 13 points.
