IN BRIEF
Residents who want more information on the proposed El Toro airport can
attend a town hall meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday at the Costa Mesa
Neighborhood Community Center.
The public meeting, sponsored by the county’s El Toro Master Development
Program office, will feature former Marine Corps pilot Tom Wall.
Wall will speak about what has been going on with the planning process
since 1993 -- when the federal government announced that the El Toro
Marine Corps Air Station would be shut down. He will give the audience an
overview of the reuse alternatives of the former military base.
The community center is at 1845 Park Ave. Additional town hall meetings
at the same location will held monthly.
For more information, call the El Toro Master Development Program office
at (714) 834-3000.
