Bill Knocke of Huntington Beach was one of four Southern

Californians to recently be selected to compete as a member of the

national and international Team USA 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 relay teams.

Team USA is composed of the top Masters athletes in the nation. Joining

Knocke on the three relay teams are Doug Smith of Laguna Niguel, Kenny

Dennis of Compton, and Harold Tolson of San Diego.

The four world class sprinters will be looking to break the world record

in the 4x100 in an upcoming February competition in California, top the

world indoor record in both the 4x200 and 4x400 in New York in early

March, then challenge more than 50 runners in both the 4x200 and 4x400 at

the Boston National Indoor Championships on March 26.

In April, Knocke, Smith, Dennis, and Tolson will be looking for more

world record-breaking adventures when they compete in the 4x100 and 4x400

on April 27 at the Penn Relays.
