T.J. Maxx has opened a new concept store called T.J. Maxx ‘n More in
Harbor Center on Harbor Boulevard and Wilson Street in Costa Mesa. The
new store is the nation’s 15th T.J. Maxx ‘n More and will house nearly
40,000 square feet of fashions for the family and the home. All prices
are 20% to 60% less than department and specialty stores. “Our T.J. Maxx
‘n More concept stores are designed to cater to today’s busy lifestyle by
providing consumers with the ultimate in one-stop shopping,” said Bernard
Cammarata, president and CEO of the the chain’s parent company, TJX
Companies Inc. “The customer response to the T.J. Maxx ‘n More concept
and merchandise mix has been outstanding. The store continues to meet and
exceed expectations, and we are pleased to further expand the chain with
the addition of our Costa Mesa store.” The store has the same brand-name
and designer fashions traditionally provided by T.J. Maxx, with the
addition of a large off-price collection of home fashions, small
appliances, hand-woven rugs, accent furniture, wall art, tableware, gift
ware and gourmet food.
The China Source is now accepting credit cards and is having a 25%-off
sale through the holidays on everything in the showroom. The store
carries antique furniture imported from China. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The China Source, (949) 929-1102, is at

Santa has started visiting Roger’s Gardens. He will be in today from noon
until 4 p.m. and then from 5 to 8 p.m. On Sunday, he will be in from noon
to 4 p.m. Santa’s regular stops resume Dec. 3-19. He will be in Fridays
from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.

South Coast Plaza is holding its annual Christmas-tree lighting ceremony
Monday at 6 p.m. More than 15,000 colored lights will be lighted on the
90-foot tree, one of the tallest in the country. The free ceremony will
be held in Town Center Park adjacent to the Westin South Coast Plaza
Hotel, at the corner of Bristol Street and Anton Boulevard in Costa Mesa.
The old-fashioned tree celebration will be highlighted by a special
appearance by Santa Claus, who will be on hand to greet children. The
public also is invited to sing along to classic holiday favorites with
the All-American Boys Choir. The Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel will
provide refreshments.
Posh, (949) 640-8310, at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, is offering a
holiday special on pure cashmere sport coats. They’re reduced $200. The
sport coats are available in black, navy, hunter, charcoal and vicuna for
$495. The houndstooth, herringbone and plaids are $595.
Butterflies & Bees, specializing in girls and boys clothing, is having a
preholiday sale. There are also mother/daughter matching outfits,
