Men’s basketball: Vanguard U breaks into win column
SAN DIEGO - Brandon Cablay had 24 points to lead Vanguard
University men’s basketball to its first win of the season, knocking off
host UC San Diego, 88-83 Friday night.
Kemmy Burgess had 17 points and Garid Beeler added 13 for the Lions (1-2), who had five players score in double figures.
After falling behind, 38-31, after the first half, VU outscored UCSD,
57-45, to pull out the win.
