Tim Brooks poured in a match-high three goals and the Cheap Shots held

off a late scoring flurry by the league-leading Blades to score a 7-6

victory in Lemieux Division play Tuesday at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey

Center in Huntington Beach.

John Brantley also scored twice, Andrew Kleinhans and Ian Rezac each

scored once, and goalie Scott Schaefer recorded 26 saves as the Cheap

Shots improved to 2-3 overall.

Kevin Kasubuchi and Kris Ehret each scored twice, Nick Haider and Scott

Willis each scored once, and goalie Casey Becking had 28 saves for the

Blades, who slipped to 3-2.

Extreme 3, Broken Bones 1

Goals by Matt Carter, Matt Landon, and Warren Runk paced victory by the

Extreme (2-2-1); Christopher Emerson scored for the Broken Bones (2-2-1).

CAMPELL DIVISION

Jets 5, Hurricanes 1

Kyle Merrick and Cody Schlegel both scored twice and Daniel Ane added

another goal to power the Jets.

MITE CLUB DIVISION

Sabres 7, Flamebos 3

Adam Springer scored three goals, Adam Cardwell scored twice, and Nick

Schultz and Russell Fox both scored once as the Sabres ran their

division-leading mark to 6-0; Andy Holmes, Michael Hiraoka, and Dan Zike

all scored for the Flamebos (5-2).
