Man arrested for variety of crimes
An Anaheim man suspected of committing several drug- and fraud-related
crimes in North County cities including Costa Mesa was arrested Friday by
the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Directed Enforcement Team.
Paul Richard Ryan, 37, is suspected of committing a litany of crimes that
also spanned Los Angeles and San Diego counties, including 50 counts of
counterfeiting the California State Seal, one count of possession of
methamphetamine for sale, 17 counts of possession of stolen property and
two counts of illegal possession of prescription medication.
John Douglas Goodfellow, 43, of Huntington Beach, also was arrested in
connection with the investigation of Ryan. He was arrested on suspicion
of 48 felony offenses, including counterfeiting, possession of
methamphetamine and possession of stolen property.
The Sheriff’s Department will continue to investigate whether there are
other crimes or victims linked to Ryan and Goodfellow.
