An Anaheim man suspected of committing several drug- and fraud-related

crimes in North County cities including Costa Mesa was arrested Friday by

the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Directed Enforcement Team.

Paul Richard Ryan, 37, is suspected of committing a litany of crimes that

also spanned Los Angeles and San Diego counties, including 50 counts of

counterfeiting the California State Seal, one count of possession of

methamphetamine for sale, 17 counts of possession of stolen property and

two counts of illegal possession of prescription medication.

John Douglas Goodfellow, 43, of Huntington Beach, also was arrested in

connection with the investigation of Ryan. He was arrested on suspicion

of 48 felony offenses, including counterfeiting, possession of

methamphetamine and possession of stolen property.

The Sheriff’s Department will continue to investigate whether there are

other crimes or victims linked to Ryan and Goodfellow.
