Vanguard wins second game

COSTA MESA - Vanguard University’s women’s basketball team raced

out to a 13-point halftime lead and held on for a 69-55 victory over

visiting Westminster.

Becki Huddle almost got a triple-double for Vanguard (2-0) with eight

points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Laura Lee led the Lions with 17 points, shooting 5-for-9 from three-point

range. Marissa Emde scored 16 and Kelly Boeke had 13 points and 4 assists
