Patti and Stanley Silver, owners of Silver Feet Shoe Boutique, joined

Cindy Stokke, president of the Newport chapter of the National Charity

League Juniors, to open their latest venture at South Coast Plaza, Costa

Mesa.

The local crowd turned out in force for the midweek, in-store, opening

party. Spotted in the crowd were Betsy Van Hof, vice president of the

National Charity League Juniors, Jill Wiese, Mary Buckingham, Amina

Mokhtar, Erin Meyer, Ann Morrehead, Jill Johnson Tucker, Shelly Belling,

Allison McDonald, Suzanne Searles, Kathy Kelter, Heather Cook and the

Brad Farmer family.

“The Silvers have been arbiters of chic, casual footwear for 30 years at

Fred Segal in Los Angeles,” offered public relations representative

Caitlin Dowe-Sands.

Stanley Silver added, “Orange County is a very sophisticated audience and

we plan on bringing all of our shoe-savvy and cutting-edge designer wear

right here.”

The philosophy was not lost on the local crowd who had come to examine

the goods for a good cause. Jeanette Segerstrom, managing partner of C.J.

Segerstrom and Sons, was also in the opening-night crowd along with Todd

Russell, Connie Scherer, Richard Moriarty, Anton Segerstrom and South

Coast Plaza’s hard-working community relations executive Billur

Wallerich.

National Charity League Juniors is a mother-daughter organization,

founded in 1962, with a mission to “initiate and promote charitable

endeavors while fostering mother-daughter relationships in philanthropic,

cultural and social activities,” said league president Cindy Stokke.

Funds raised form the midweek cocktail reception and store opening,

including a generous $5,000 donation from Silver Feet, will benefit three

charities supported by NCL Juniors; the High Hopes Neurological Recovery

Group Inc., Rehabilitation Center, the Orange Coast College Children’s

Center, and the Pediatric Cancer Research Center.
