LBZ maintained its grip on first place in the Atom Club Division

standings by beating their league rival, the Predators, 5-3, in inline

roller hockey action at Coast to Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington

Beach.

Michael Mendez led LBZ’s scoring attack with two goals, Russell Peltier,

Nick Dlugosz and Tyler Ruiz each scored once as LBZ, which jumped out to

a 3-1 first quarter lead, stayed unbeaten at 6-0.

Goalie Andrew Thompson stopped 26 shot attempts by the Predators.

Matt Deutchmann, Paul Leigh, and Curtis Stollings all scored for the

Predators (2-3-1).

In other matches:

Vipers 7, Hurricanes 2

Bryce Courtney and Jeffrey Kurokawa each scored twice, Trevor Carroll,

Taylor Castle, and Cristina Castle all scored once, and Carroll also

assisted two goals as the Vipers stayed right behind LBZ in the standings

at 5-1; Rocco Grimaldi, Jordan Rohr, and Jamie Schlegel all scored for

the Hurricanes (2-3-1).

Breakout Bruisers 10, Stampede 0

The Breakout Bruisers’ scoring onslaught included five goals by Tyler

Lakes and singles scores by Dylan Lamphear, Sam Robinson, Adam Bosch,

Shane Lakes, and Ryan Goldwater, while Shane Lakes recorded three assists

and Bosch finished with two as the Breakout Bruisers improved their mark

to 2-4. The loss dropped the Stampede to 0-6 overall.
