ATMOSPHERE: Stylish black and white corner storefront opened two months

ago by former New Yorker Lou Scotto. He learned the business from his

uncle, who owned 64 New York pizza places. Fresh hot sauces smother al

dente pasta; light cracker-crisp pizza crusts hold mild marinara and a

choice of 21 toppings; the best long crusty Italian subs are layered with

mortadella sausage, Genoa salami, cappicola, ham and provolone. Spinach

rolls are super: fresh sauteed spinach rolled in dough like a cinnamon

bun, toasted and served with dipping sauce (four for $5.75, eight for

$9.50). They’re an appetizer or a snack with friends. Manager Jeremiah

Snyder says, “We stress cleanliness and try to take care of our

customers.”
