The School of Law at Chapman University has received a $5-million gift

from Newport Beach resident and Chapman trustee Harry Rinker.

Chapman President James L. Doti characterized the contribution as “one of

the most significant” the school had received during its Millennium

Campaign, a fund-raising effort that aims to generate $160 million.

Rinker and his wife Diane have previously made sizable contributions to

the university. The atrium of its Argyros Forum, a classroom in its

Technology Hall and several scholarships are named for the Rinkers.

In recognition of the most recent gift, the University’s law library will

be renamed the Harry S. Rinker Library.
