Slow-growth measure needs in-depth coverageThere isn’t any excuse

for the poor journalism and biased reporting exemplified by the

“Slow-Growth Measure Effort Plugs Away” story published in the Daily

Pilot Oct. 13.

This is literally the worst written story that I’ve read regarding ballot

initiatives. The article doesn’t explain who is sponsoring the initiative

or what caused the measure to be proposed. It also doesn’t explain who

the opponents are and what actions they are taking. So far, it appears

that the opponents have resorted to unethical slander, false information

and harassment of petitioners. Plus, although the measure has yet to

qualify for the ballot, someone is financing an expensive survey that

seems to be testing campaign strategy.

How about publishing the facts, instead of subjective reporting.
