Drawing from its permanent collection

The Orange County Museum of Art is exhibiting “Points of Departure,” a

show of drawings from its permanent collection, through Jan. 16.

The exhibit, which features a variety of styles -- including work that is

quite representational as well as more abstract pieces -- and a range of

media from pencil to ink to pastel, emphasizes the diversity of

techniques California artists have employed in their approach to drawing.

The Museum is at 850 San Clemente Drive, Newport Beach. For more

information, call (949) 759-1122.
