Service times: Sunday worship is at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday school for

children ages 2 to 10 years meets during the 9 a.m. service. A midweek

worship service meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday

Makeup of congregation: Worshipers come from Newport Beach, Costa Mesa,

Yorba Linda, Lake Forest, Buena Park, Orange, Santa Ana and Irvine

Child care: Available for infants and toddlers

Type of worship: The service provides contemporary praise and worship. It

is accompanied by guitar music and drums. Holy Communion is held on one

Sunday each month.

Type of sermon: Scripture is read, followed by preaching of the word by

one of the pastors. After the sermon an altar call is given for those who

wish to receive Jesus as their savior and for those who wish to receive

prayer for healing or other personal needs.

Recent sermon: The topic of last week’s sermon was “What to do to have a

successful marriage.”

Welcome wagon: Guests are given visitor cards to fill out. If they desire

prayer for a personal need and/or wish to be visited by someone from the

church’s evangelism team, they can indicate this on the visitor card.

Outreach programs: That church has an evangelism team that goes door to

door in the community. From time to time there are organized outreach

events at the church.

Dress: The church does not have a dress code. Dress depends on individual

preference.

Church design: The church is in a commercial building.

Mission Statement: To bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

To love one another as Jesus commanded. To minister to the needs of

hurting people throughout the world.

Interesting Note: Global Christian Church is organizing an event called

The Body of Christ in 2000. The event will be held at the Anaheim

Convention Center on Sept. 6 through Sept. 9. As many as 15,000 people

from 105 nations are expected to attend. The purpose of the event is to

pull down denominational, racial and gender bigotry within the church.

Registration for the event is $50 per person until February. After that,
