Keaton Celinder scored off a nice feed by Jarron Ertz for the

go-ahead goal, and the Hornets added a late score to wrap up a 3-1

victory over the Silver Bullets in an AYSO Region 56 boys Under-10 soccer

game.

Celinder’s goal broke a 1-1 tie, and Nick Stephens sealed the win by

scoring off a ricochet of Riley Hansler’s shot off the crossbar.

Hansler scored in the first half with a blistering shot into the back of

the net for a 1-0 Hornets lead.

In other games:

The Clash 2, Tsunami 0

A scoreless defensive battle ended in the fourth quarter when Matthew

Sarvak and Kenny Miller each scored goals to lift The Clash to victory.

Tsunami goalkeeper Brett Webber recorded 11 saves, while The Clash goalie

Matthew Dowell had four saves in the third period.

Blastoises 2, Tsunami 1

Sammy Captan’s two goals at the outset of the third quarter goal broke a

scoreless halftime tie and put the Blastioises ahead to stay. Jacob

Worthy also scored one goal in the period for Tsunami.

Goalie Chaz Hafke of the Blastoises stopped three Tsunami shot attempts

in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.

In girls soccer action:

UNDER-12 DIVISION

Beach Devils 2, Sour Grapes 0

Goalies Shannon Peterson and Jacky Reichner combined their efforts to

post their second shutout in two weeks and Jessica Jordan and Rylee

Chapman each scored as the Beach Devils shut down the first-place Sour

Grapes at Gisler School.

The defensive play of Courtney Lynn, Jillian Jordan, Natalie Lewton, and

Amanda Chickman helped preserve the Beach Devils victory.

Brooke Bashore, Lauren Kaprelian, and Michelle Fockler led the Sour

Grapes.
