Newhope Street: A man stole merchandise from boxes at Costco in the 17900
block, concealed it in his pants and was arrested when he left the store
without paying at 4:22 p.m. Friday.
Newhope Street: Someone attempted to pry open the front door of a
business with a screwdriver, causing stress cracks in the door, in the
17100 block at 9:21 a.m. Friday.
Recreation Circle: Someone removed a wallet from a man’s pants as he
talked on the phone at the Skating Center in the 9100 block at 9:52 p.m.
Thursday.
Martens River Circle: Someone stole 300 pounds of scrap aluminum from a
gated storage area at Meyco Machine & Tool Co. in the 11500 block at 8:05
a.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street: A woman’s purse was stolen when she walked away from
it in the housewares department of TJ Max in the 18200 block at 12:02
p.m. Thursday.
Slater Avenue: Someone stole $4,000 in property from the back of a pickup
truck in the 10200 block at 9:22 a.m. Thursday.
Kalama River Avenue: Someone entered Fry’s Electronics in the 10800 block
and tried to steal merchandise worth $261 before being arrested at 8:53
p.m. Tuesday.
Brookhurst Street: Three men ordered a meal at Chopsticks House in the
18300 block and left the restaurant without paying at 10:18 a.m.
Wednesday.
Euclid Street: Someone broke a driver’s side door window and took a car
stereo worth $400 in the 17200 block at 6:19 a.m. Wednesday.
Euclid Street: A man robbed a store in the 18300 block at gunpoint and
took $406 in cash from the register before fleeing the scene at 7:50 p.m.
Tuesday.
Bushard Street: A woman cut off a man at the intersection of Warner and
he drove up along side her, exchanged some words and threw his coffee out
his car window, splattering her shirt at 8:44 p.m. Sunday.

Florida Street: About 20 subjects hollered and screamed in the 2400 block
at 12:09 a.m. Sunday.
Talbert Avenue: People were being thrown through windows in the 7800
block at 12:35 a.m. Sunday.
Pacific Coast Highway: Construction noise at the Waterfront Hilton in the
21100 block violated the city’s noise ordinance at 10:18 a.m. Sunday.
Brookhurst Street: Windows were smashed in the 21300 block at 11:04 a.m.
Sunday.
Beach Boulevard: A red-tailed hawk was zapped by a light pole at the
intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and was still alive and struggling
at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Goldenwest Street: A car was stolen in the 15700 block at 11:55 a.m.
Sunday.
Main Street: A faculty lounge window was broken at Huntington Beach High
School in the 1900 block at 3:50 p.m. Sunday.
Edinger Avenue: A manager was assaulted by a customer at Radio Shack in
the 7700 block at 4:07 p.m. Sunday.
Constellation Lane: A woman’s camera equipment was stolen from her home
in the 19600 block at 5:33 p.m. Sunday.
Smokewood Circle: A car was keyed by a neighbor in the 18800 block at
5:40 p.m. Sunday.
Vallarta Drive: A car exploded and a house caught fire in the 18500 block
at 6:53 p.m. Sunday.
Silliman Drive: Kids threw firecrackers at trick-or-treaters in the 4100
block at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Sand Dollar Lane: A 6-foot teenage male dressed as a cheerleader stole an
11-year-old boy’s bag of candy in the 21300 block at 8:28 p.m. Sunday.
Patterson Lane: Juveniles hiding behind a parked car threw eggs at a
woman’s husband and her house in the 18300 block at 9:26 p.m. Sunday.
Hoskins Street: A group of teenagers yelled in the 16800 block at 11:52
p.m. Monday.
Vatcher Drive: Three car tires were slashed in the 6200 block at 9:15
a.m. Tuesday.
Adams Avenue: The boyfriend of a man’s ex-wife threatened his life in the
9900 block at 10:11 a.m. Tuesday.
Edinger Avenue: A logic board for a video game was stolen from Nickel
Nickel Arcade in the 7400 block at 11:48 a.m. Tuesday.
Sunday Drive: A 3-year-old boy stood by himself at the intersection of
Ward Street with no adult supervision at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday.
Inverness Lane: Teenage boys tried to break into a house in the 19800
block at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Dagny Circle: A man was allegedly stabbed in the arm by his son in the
6000 block at 7:37 p.m. Tuesday.
Lotus Lane: A minivan hit a pole and the driver injured her leg in the
19800 block at 9:08 p.m. Tuesday.
Main Street: A dead seal washed up on the sand south of the pier at 9:24
p.m. Tuesday.
Huntington Street: A group of juveniles harassed and challenged a lone
boy to a fight at the intersection of Adams Avenue at 10:58 p.m. Tuesday.
Newland Street: Someone broke into a man’s trailer and damaged his
property in the 21800 block at 8:25 a.m. Monday.
Terry Drive: A teenager broke into a house with a steel bar and, when the
subject spotted the owner, fled out the rear door and jumped over a fence
in the 7900 block at 10:59 a.m. Monday.
Slater Avenue: Two kids tried to steal boards from Chuck Dent Surf Center
in the 7500 block at 2:07 p.m. Monday.
Gothard Street: Eleven kids skateboarded at Oceanview High School,
violating a city ordinance in the 17000 block at 4:32 p.m. Monday.
