Girls golf: Sea Kings runner up in PCL championship
HUNTINGTON BEACH - Allison Schauppner finished third with a two-day
total of 177 to lead Corona del Mar High’s girls golf team to second
place overall in the Pacific Coast League Finals Monday and Tuesday at
Meadowlark Golf Course, par 72.
University, which finished with the top two golfers, won the
championship with a team total of 688. CdM had a team score of 741.
Other scores for the Sea Kings include Taylor McCormick with a 184,
and Kristen and Jackie McCoy, who each came in with a 190.
For Estancia High, Laura Cote was the top Eagles’ golfer with a 194,
while Cassandra Latimer shot a 202.
CdM, Estancia and University will participate in the CIF team
preliminaries, which will take place Tuesday at Los Serranos Golf
Course’s South Course.
