CdM foursome alive

HUNTINGTON BEACH - Four Corona del Mar High girls golfers were

among 10 to advance to today’s final round of the Pacific Coast League

Finals at Meadowlark Golf Course.

CdM junior Taylor McCormick shot 91 over 18 holes, including 41 on the

back nine to finish tied for third in the 20-competitor field.

Also advancing for Coach Mike Starkweather were juniors Allison

Schauppner and Kristin McCoy (tied for fifth at 94) and freshman Jackie

McCoy (tied for eighth with 95).

The top two will automatically advance to CIF Southern Section individual

qualifying, Nov. 16 at Mission Lakes Country Club in Desert Hot Springs.

The league may also petition three additional golfers for at-large berths

to compete in CIF.
