MAILBAG - Oct. 23, 1999
I agree with Roger Summers that many Santa Ana Heights residents indeed
are deeply suspicious, but certainly not of the motives of Newport Beach
(“Santa Ana Heights wary of annexation,” Oct. 9). My suspicions are
directed toward the Project Advisory Committee members and their motives.
I have yet to see any benefits from this committee other than for the
committee members who seem to be gaining favors galore from the Orange
County Building and Planning Department. It is my opinion that the entire
committee needs to be disbanded and let the residents of Santa Ana
Heights take back their neighborhood and speak for themselves.
