I agree with Roger Summers that many Santa Ana Heights residents indeed

are deeply suspicious, but certainly not of the motives of Newport Beach

(“Santa Ana Heights wary of annexation,” Oct. 9). My suspicions are

directed toward the Project Advisory Committee members and their motives.

I have yet to see any benefits from this committee other than for the

committee members who seem to be gaining favors galore from the Orange

County Building and Planning Department. It is my opinion that the entire

committee needs to be disbanded and let the residents of Santa Ana

Heights take back their neighborhood and speak for themselves.
