Fountain Valley
Filbert Street: Someone used a 1/2” pry tool to defeat the front door
deadbolt in the 16400 block. The thief ransacked the home and stole about
$30 in change at 2:57 p.m. Oct. 13.
Tahoe Circle: Someone gained entry into a house by breaking a window next
to the front door and ransacked the master bedroom in the 18500 block at
6:21 p.m. Oct. 12.
Santa Catalina Circle: A man violated his restraining order by visiting a
woman who lives in the 17500 block at 9:04 p.m. Oct. 12.
Brookhurst Street: Someone entered a car by removing a door lock and
damaged the car’s stereo while trying, unsuccessfully, to steal it in the
18000 block at 10:03 p.m. Oct. 13.
Summerwood Court: A burglar gained entry into a home in the 11700 block
by climbing through a laundry room window, removed property and fled at
5:38 p.m. Thursday.
Diddy Circle: Someone removed a sewer hose and miscellaneous parts from
an unlocked exterior storage unit from a man’s motor home at the
intersection of Canary at 11:33 a.m. Friday.
Magnolia Street: Someone used a sledgehammer to force open the rear door
of a business in the 18900 block and, once inside, removed two computers,
a telephone and a modem worth $2,340 at 11:45 a.m. Friday.
Mount Darwin Circle: Someone broke into a car parked in the 16600 block
by inserting a flat-tip tool into the driver’s side door lock and
defeating the lock mechanism, then stole $200 in property at 9:32 a.m.
Friday.
Isadora Street: A burglar climbed up the exterior of a chimney in the
18500 block and entered a house through an open upstairs window. After
entering the master bedroom, the suspect fled without taking any property
at 12:33 p.m. Thursday.
Beach Boulevard: Two men got into a physical fight at the intersection of
Adams Avenue at 12:07 a.m. Saturday.
Gothard Street: Thirty people were fighting, some with sticks, at
Oceanview High School in the 17000 block at 1:17 a.m. Saturday.
Newland Street: After the earthquake, the traffic signals were completely
out at the intersection of Yorktown Avenue at 3:03 a.m. Saturday.
Lexington Lane: Employees at Pegasus School blasted music in the 19600
block at 5:12 a.m. Saturday.
Lowmead Drive: Neighbors had a huge water leak in the 8500 block at 7:44
a.m. Saturday.
Constantine Lane: Someone stole documents, a credit card and $500 cash
from a home in the 8000 block at 8:50 a.m. Saturday.
Balgair Circle: A reckless driver hit the driver’s side of a parked car
in the 20800 block and drove away at 9:07 a.m. Saturday.
Manitoba Drive: About five juveniles were skateboarding in a drainage
ditch in the 18400 block at 10:51 a.m. Saturday.
Queens Lane: A man threatened to burn down his wife’s apartment in the
17400 block at 12:22 p.m. Saturday when he gets out of jail.
Washington Avenue: Four juveniles broke into a house in the 7500 block
and broke up the place at 3:39 p.m. Saturday.
Sailors Bay Lane: A neighbor stole a kid’s skateboard at 21100 block at
4:05 p.m. Saturday.
Warner Avenue: About ten underage subjects were drinking alcohol at a
party and parking their cars in the fire lane in the 6700 block at 4:50
p.m. Saturday.
Roderick Lane: Juveniles were jumping in front of passing cars in the
19600 block at 7:56 p.m. Saturday.
Fieldbury Lane: Kids threw stuff at cars in the 18100 block at 9:55 p.m.
Saturday.
Goldenwest Street: Glass was breaking during a physical fight at the
Regency Palms in the 17100 block at 1:17 a.m. Oct. 12.
Center Avenue: A woman’s purse was stolen and several unauthorized
charges were put on her gas card in the 7500 block at 10:49 a.m. Oct. 12.
Dairyview Circle: Code enforcement officials observed several potted
plants resembling marijuana behind trash cans in the 17400 block at 12:15
p.m. Oct. 12.
Hillview Circle: Someone heard a woman screaming at the top of her lungs
and a lot of things falling in the 16500 block at 1:55 p.m. Oct. 12.
Adams Avenue: A $100 Makita Power Drill was stolen from Crown Hardware in
the 9000 block at 2:07 p.m. Oct. 12.
Beach Boulevard: A disgruntled former employee made threats to a business
owner in the 17700 block at 3:57 p.m. Oct. 12.
Beach Boulevard: A man was mad that he was thrown out of a bar in the
21000 block at 5:24 p.m. Oct. 12.
Jacquelyn Lane: Suspected gang members parked outside a residence in the
17300 block at 5:28 p.m. Oct. 12, and threatened the owner for testifying
in court against a gang member who had shot her husband.
Warner Avenue: About four subjects were racing little motorized boats at
the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway at 6:49 p.m. Oct. 12.
Keelson Lane: A woman reported that her husband had been gone for 25 days
at 7:35 p.m. Oct. 12. She had no food and was afraid to leave the house
in the 17300 block because he beats her.
17th Street: A horrible noise was coming from Coastline Community Church
at the intersection of Delaware Street at 8:05 p.m. Oct. 12.
Seawater Drive: Someone peeked in a woman’s bedroom in the 8100 block at
9:00 p.m. Oct. 12.
