Tars trounce Irvine, 18-0

IRVINE - Newport Harbor High senior Jenny Meyer won all 18 singles

games and the Sailors doubles team of Allison Schneider and Kelly Nelson

won 18 of 19 to lead the visiting Sailors to an 18-0 Sea View League

girls tennis win Irvine Tuesday at Heritage Park.

Senior Chelsea Godbey was also swept all 18 singles games for the No. 1

team in Orange County, which improved to 12-1, 6-0 in league.

The Tars continue their run toward a league championship Thursday when

they host Laguna Hills.
