Men’s water polo: OCC outlasts Cypress

CYPRESS - Orange Coast College men’s water polo team used a strong

first quarter to outlast host Cypress, 17-11, in Thursday’s Orange Empire

Conference matchup.

OCC (15-3-1, 2-0 in OEC) jumped out to a 7-2 lead after the first

quarter to pull away early.

Scott Butler led the Bucs with seven goals, while Kevin Becker and

Luke Alvarado each added three goals.

The Pirates will next play Mt. San Antonio College Thursday at 3 p.m.

in a nonconference matchup.
