Hurricanes get past Charmanders

The Hurricanes opened up their Campbell Division Winter Season on a

winning note, beating the Charmanders, 3-1, in hockey action at Coast 2

Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Tied 1-1 at the half, both Ryan Ward and Kevin Caskey scored goals

to give the Hurricanes their two-point victory.

Russell Barrett scored in the first half for the Hurricanes, and

an Allison Dufault goal accounted for the Charmanders scoring.

Charmander goalie Aaron Sylla had 18 saves.

JETS 3, STARS 1

Daniel Ane scored all three goals - two coming off Ryan Gallegos

assists - as the Jets opened up the new season with the win.

Connor Burns scored the lone goal for the Stars.

BULLDOGS 2, RED WINGS 2

Both Jacob Schnautz and Scott Cassidy scored for the Bulldogs and

Michael Kompleski and James Williams each scored for the Red Wings as the

two teams battled to a season-opening tie.
