Ocean View Little League announces signups

Ocean View Little League, home of the 1999 Major Division Sectional

and District 62 All-Stars champions and Major and Minor divisions

Tournament of Champions, will hold its first ‘early’ signup for its

Spring 2000 season on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at the

league’s playing fields.

Ocean View Little League is located at B Street, just east of the

corner of Warner Ave. and Beach Blvd.

Registration fees are as follows: $85 for T-Ball (ages 5-7); $100

for Little League (ages 7-12), and $125 for both Junior and Senior

divisions (ages 13-15). League age is calculated by a player’s age as of

7/31/00. For both T-ball and Little League, registration fees cover

player snack bar tickets and uniforms for the 2000 season.

A second registration date will be held on Nov. 20, also from 9

a.m.-1 p.m. at the fields.

Registration fees will be increased by $15 for registration dates

in January.

All applicants are required to bring an original birth certificate

and a utility bill to verify residence within the league’s boundaries.

Fountain Valley Girls Softball is currently accepting registration

for its upcoming Spring 2000 season. Girls ages 4-14 are invited to

participate, and there are no boundary restrictions.

Registration will be taken on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m.-2

p.m. at Fountain Valley Community Center, which is located across from

the Fountain Valley Library.

Registration fees are $45 for T-Ball (6 and Under), $70 for Coach

Pitch (8 and Under), and $75 for divisions 10, 12 and 14 and Under.

A birth certificate is required to verify age, and a player’s age

as of Dec. 31 determines division placement.

Registration fees cover the cost of team pictures, uniform,

participation award, league collectable pins and a softball window

sticker (while supplies last).

Future registration dates include Dec. 7, Jan. 8, 2000, and Jan.

15, 2000.

All player evaluations (with the exception of T-Ball) will take

place on Jan. 15, 2000.
