Austin Shannon single-handedly outscored the Wing Nuts, and the

quick-starting Killer Bees went on to claim a 9-3 Adams Division victory

Wednesday at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Shannon poured in five goals and also assisted the Killer Bee’s

sixth and final goal of the first half - which came off the stick of Sean

Froelick, which gave the victors a 6-2 edge at the break.

In addition to Froelick’s goal, both Gregory Hancock and Justin

Penderson each scored once.

Ty Barbo scored all three Wing Nut goals, twice off Noah Harju

assists, the other time off a Jacob Caron feed.

In other games:

Termites 2, Hurricanes 0

Conner Parks scored twice and the Termite defense allowed the

Hurricanes just two shots on goal in the shutout victory.

Hurricane goalie Aaron Sutton had a busy day in the net and,

despite giving up two goals, was able to fend off 29 shots on goal.
