UCI hosts scholarship seminar

IRVINE - UC Irvine will host a College Eligibility Issues Seminar

Wednesday, Nov. 3 from 7-9 p.m. at the Physical Science Lecture Hall.

The seminar is designed for families of high school athletes and

junior high athletes to become better aware of what lies ahead in the

process of obtaining college scholarships and university entry.

Standardized test scores, core courses, grade point averages, the

Clearinghouse, the recruiting process and recruiting services for all

NCAA divisions and community colleges are some of the topics to be

discussed in the seminar. The cost is $15 per family, (includes

parking), before Oct. 20, and $15 (not includes parking) after Oct. 20 or

at the door.
