Girls tennis: Sea Kings bury Eagles
COSTA MESA - Corona del Mar High girls’ tennis remained unbeaten in
the Pacific Coast League following Thursday’s 17-1 win over host
Estancia.
In singles play Kim Singer and Leslie Damion swept through their singles’
matches without losing a game, while the doubles team of Laura Claster
and Katie Tenerelli lost only one game en route to their 6-0, 6-0, 6-1
sweep.
Estancia falls to 0-3 in the PCL.
Next up for the Sea Kings (6-4, 3-0), ranked sixth in the Orange County
Sportswriters Poll, is a trip to Irvine Tuesday to take on University
High, before Wednesday’s nonleague showdown with Back Bay rival Newport
Harbor. Both matches are set to start at 3 p.m.
