Girls volleyball: Harbor handles Hawks
NEWPORT BEACH - It took a little longer than expected, but Newport
Harbor High managed to upend Laguna Hills in four games to remain
unbeaten in Sea View League girls volleyball.
The Sailors, ranked No. 1 in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Poll,
knocked off the Hawks, 15-12, 15-1, 7-15, 15-3, Thursday to improve to
15-1, 2-0 in league.
For the Sailors, April Ross and Heather Cullen had seven kills each and
Erin Haller added six kills.
Katie King had 19 assists to lead Newport Harbor’s passing game.
Next up for Newport Harbor is Santa Margarita, at home, tonight at 6:30.
