AYSO Region 57: Grandstaff leads Poison Ivy

NEWPORT BEACH - Cassidy Grandstaff scored four goals to lead the

Poison Ivy to a 4-0 win over the Bazooka Babes in AYSO Region 57 Division

4 action.

Assists came from Anya Joyo, Lacey Schmidt, Briana Galloway and

Michelle Drucker.

Poison Ivy was led defensively by Katherine Doud, Olya Zamucen and

Ashley Fischer.

In other Division 4 action:

Cherry Bombs 0, Galaxy Girls 0: The Cherry Bombs were led in goal by

Haley Prickett and had solid scoring opportunities from Kelsey Johnson,

Hilary Arnold and Kate Murphy.

The Millennium Babes 3, Y2K Girls 1: Kara Percival had two goals,

while Allison Bond added another for the Millennium Babes.

Leading the defense for the Millennium Babes were Rachel Heyler,

Maggie Donnelly and goalies Tara Voettiner and K.T. Molinaro.

The USA Babes 1, The Bruisers 1: Marisa Scott scored for the USA

Babes, while Tori Bender tied the game for the Bruisers.

Bruisers goalies, Casey McMakin and Michelle Allred played well, while

on defense, Emily Foster, Amanda Billing, Allyson Page, Paige Harryman

and Kelly Bartlett kept the game tied.

The USA Babes were led offensively by Alycia and Alexa MacCarthy.

In girls-under-8 action:

Megan Rucker, Kate Duddy, Madeline Bendetti and Adrienne Dreyfus had

goals for the Pink Poodles, with assists coming from Clare Dreyfus,

Madeline Jaeger and Claire Jaeger ... Valen Taylor scored two

third-quarter goals and Jenny Machin played solid defense for the Poison

Ivy ... Courtney Lee, Randi Fullen and Kelsey Kaczmarek played well

offensively for the Blue Streaks, while Nikki Reed, Lizzy Murtaugh and

goalies Sammy Jo Pruesner and Caitlin Ahearn had a solid defensive effort

... In the Blazing Tornadoes game against the Tidal Waves, Michelle

Marshall and Leila Pozin and Monica Schnapp led the way for the Blazing

Tornadoes ... For the Sea Queens, Cynthia Bui and Alexa Cohen each scored

a goal , while Korinne Kornman, Athena Livadas, Nikki Wanieck, Karoline

Wang, Neda Ghassemi and Alyssa Hunter were solid on defense ... Kirby
