Girls tennis: Newport Harbor brushes away Artists

LAGUNA BEACH - Newport Harbor High girls’ tennis, ranked No. 1 in

Orange County, had little trouble on the road with Wednesday’s 16-2

nonleague win over host Laguna Beach.

Megan Hawkins and Sarah Barker came through for the Sailors’ No. 3

team with a 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 sweep.

Newport Harbor (9-1) will host Woodbridge today at 3 p.m.
