Palmer continues to lead Wildcats
Former Marina High standout Kristen Palmer continues to lead the
Northwestern University women’s soccer team, and she padded her offensive
statistics Wednesday in a 2-2 tie with Illinois.
Palmer, a 5-foot-6 senior defender, assisted both Wildcat goals as
Northwestern improved to 0-5-1 in Big Ten play and 2-8-1 overall.
The former All-CIF performer from Marina also scored her team’s
lone goal in Monday’s 3-1 loss to Iowa.
Palmer leads the Wildcats in scoring this season with 13 total
points, with seven coming on assists.
Palmer and the Wildcats host two opponents this week in Evanston,
Ill. They take on Marquette today in a nonconference match, then resume
Big Ten play Sunday against Michigan.
