City working to make sure planning meetings are open

The Planning Commission continued to meet in a study session on the

second floor Monday evening for nearly half an hour past its scheduled

start time in the council chambers. However, that night the elevators to

the second floor were turned off to people without city security

clearance.

Valantine also said that meetings are properly noticed on the agenda.

The Planning Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. prior to its regular meeting

in the second floor conference room. Study sessions on the first and

third Mondays of each month are held at 6:30 p.m. in conference room 1A,

according to the agendas.
